Meet the Instructor

David Crowle

David Crowle is the director and main instructor at Ephraim Music Studio. With 17 years of music experience and 12 years of teaching music in various scenarios, David has been able to develop a unique method of teaching music that produces well-rounded musicians, capable for any goals and dreams they want to pursue. He was born and raised and has started his family in East County in San Diego, CA and has a desire to see positive change take place.

David started learning music officially at the age of 13. He went with his brother to an open worship night put on by the worship pastor at his church. David accredits his ability to play music to God and God alone and dedicates all his work to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our Story

Ephraim Music Studio was created by David Crowle to provide an alternative music education to in-class instruction. Though private music lessons are not uncommon, the vision of Ephraim Music Studio goes beyond that of private instruction and looks ahead to the establishment of a completely independent music school that anyone can be a part of. David has been teaching music for over 10 years whether it be in after-school programs, in church settings, with friends and family, or in the classroom setting.

EMS was conceived in the summer of 2020 during the lockdowns

Our Vision

Short-term

Our current goal for Ephraim Music Studio is to serve San Diego’s East County population with high quality music education, with a broad reach. We believe that music is a strong catalyst for preserving values and traditions, as well as influencing culture in a strong way. Music and art have shaped culture to be self-seeking, prideful, perverse, and destructive to preserving the most important aspects of strong society such as family and one’s love for their country.

By Fall of 2024 our hope is to:

  • Start orchestras, choirs, and other ensembles to serve private and homeschool communities
  • Hire on mobile instructors to broaden reach and fulfill a greater sense of the mission
  • Create a unique and 100% original music curriculum that focuses on a distinct music genre pool

Long-term

By Fall of 2025 our hope is to:

  • Establish a homebase or storefront
  • Produce a curriculum that can help other teachers start their own music programs to better their own communities
  • Start an overnight camp
